Glock 42 380 Auto - I bought mine towards the end of the first year it came out and I had no problems with it. I wear a suit most of the time and I can carry my clothes in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster in a breast pocket of my jacket or in an IWB (attachment) that Vedder can slip without anyone noticing.
This gun has very low recoil. My 9-12 year olds shot this at the range with me and they had no problem shooting it. My oldest shoots my G26 and G23/G19 (I have a conversion barrel...thanks!) and he enjoys shooting the G42 because of the lower recoil.

I don't like this trigger so I got a 3.5 lbs plug to reduce the long pull with a hard break. Maybe it's the size and weight of the rifle, but it seems like the trigger feels like it has a longer pull and the break is "hard" to overcome.

This was the first Glock I ever bought and I don't regret it at all! A friend of mind recommended it to me. Told to get either 42 or 43. I chose 42 for compactness and easy to conceal. Hoping to get 43 eventually. Traded my Taurus 738 for this gun. Had so many overload issues with it. Don't have that problem with a Glock. Can't wait to put some laps through it on the track.
PLUS fun to shoot. Have a Ruger LC9, way to 'snap' to my wrist and thumb (arthritis and dislocated thumb that didn't mend well) also son's G43...double stack no go for thumb(G26)...best of all worlds to me. Small, light, easy to shoot (accurate!), VERY effective with the 'right' ammo (I love the Lehigh Xtreme defense)..typical reliable Glock quality..excellent!
Newbie and I love to shoot. Glock 19 is my original, bought in 2014, which I am learning how to handle, clean, etc. Most of the use has been in the last 4 weeks since I signed up for my concealed weapons permit, and wanted to pass the shooting part as well. It seems like it should be easy. But as the class got closer, I realized I didn't want to carry such a big gun. I love my Baby Glock! It's cute, but don't let the "cuteness" fool you! Guns roar! There was no noticeable recoil to me, but the shooting was a bit of a surprise as there was MUCH LESS of a gun to absorb the fireworks! The Glock 42 is the smallest possible GLOCK with ultra-compact dimensions and easy-to-carry features. It features Glock's Safe Action system that provides a consistent trigger pull from the first round to the last. Three independently operating automatic mechanical safety devices are incorporated into the gun's fire control system. All three safeties disengage sequentially when the trigger is pulled and automatically re-engage when the trigger is released. The frame is made of polymer with hardened steel guides. It has an ideal grip angle and low weight. The firing stop handle and magazine catch are easy to operate with the firing hand.
